"The disparities and underrepresentation of women in tech and science are profound. According to the United Nations (1), women are typically given smaller research grants than their male colleagues. While they represent 33.3% of all researchers, only 12% of members of national science academies are women. In cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, only one in five professionals (22%) is a woman.
Despite a shortage of skills in most of the technological fields driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution, women still account for only 28% of engineering graduates and 40% of graduates in computer science and informatics. Female researchers tend to have shorter, less well-paid careers. Their work is underrepresented in high-profile journals, and they are often passed over for promotion.
On the other hand, according to the Financial Post (2), women are four times less likely to access funds than men! This situation needs to change, and a paradigm shift is needed. This shift involves re-evaluating and restructuring societal norms, educational policies, and corporate practices that contribute to underrepresentation. Encouraging girls from a young age to engage with STEM subjects, providing strong female role models in these fields, and working to eliminate gender bias in educational and professional settings are key steps in this process.
Additionally, financial institutions need to reshape their strategies and practices to better serve women entrepreneurs. Women have consistently demonstrated strong repayment rates and responsible financial management, indicating a high level of financial reliability. Both public and private financial institutions should trust women more and extend greater access to funding.
As a woman in tech, a scientist, and an entrepreneur, my journey has been both challenging and rewarding. I have faced and overcome the various obstacles that traditionally exist in this field, and today, I stand proud of my accomplishments and my contribution to the industry. However, the greatest reward for me is not just personal success, but the opportunity to inspire and pave the way for the future generation of women in tech.
I believe that my role extends beyond my own professional responsibilities. I am actively involved in women-in-tech initiatives. I share my experiences, provide guidance, and encourage them to persist in the face of adversity. I aim to show them that a successful career in tech is not only possible but also fulfilling and empowering."

"What a time to be alive as the aerospace industry embarks on new pathways. The focus of the space economy has shifted from mere exploration to having a substantial impact on our everyday lives.
The democratization of the space economy is an exciting development, with startups and smaller companies now having a seat at the table once reserved for superpowers.
The falling costs of satellite manufacturing and launching have paved the way for increased participation in the space sector, leading to an explosion of innovation and entrepreneurship.
As an active participant in the aerospace industry, I am glad to witness and contribute to this transformative period. The technological advancements we make today will continue to shape the trajectory of not only the aerospace industry but also our daily lives. The promise of space, as we are now coming to realize, extends far beyond the final frontier. It has the potential to revolutionize life right here on Earth, contributing to a future where the possibilities are truly limitless."
